Will I receive a medical report and copies of my records after treatment?

Yes. Upon request, we send you your final medical report within 24 to 48 hours.

Free Consultation

The report includes the details of your treatment, such as the number of cells, the route of application and the areas treated, and the quality information that applies to the cells used in your procedure, including viability, can be shared in a redacted format. Copies of the laboratory tests and imaging performed at our facilities can also be provided. You can share all of this with your doctor at home, which helps keep your medical care coordinated.

Having your medical documents after treatment is important. They allow your doctor at home to know what was done, help you track your progress and are useful if you need further care, a second application or reimbursement paperwork. This guide explains what documents you can receive, how to request them and how your information is protected.

How to request your report

  1. Ask your advisor, by email or during your visit, for your final medical report.
  2. Tell us what you need it for, for example for your doctor, for your records or for an insurance or reimbursement request. This helps the team include the information you need.
  3. Receive your report within 24 to 48 hours of your request.

If you already know you will need the report, you can request it before your discharge, so it is ready shortly after you return home.

What your medical report includes

Your final medical report summarizes your treatment, including:

  • Your diagnosis and the reason for treatment.
  • The treatment performed: the type of cells (allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton's jelly), the number of cells, the route of application and the areas treated.
  • Complementary treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), exosomes or IV therapies, when included.
  • The guidance used, such as ultrasound for joints or fluoroscopy for the spine.
  • Your aftercare instructions and recommendations.

Quality information about your cells

In addition to the medical report, the quality-control information and the patient-specific product data that apply to the cells used in your procedure, including viability, can be shared in a redacted format. Before you book, you can also ask your advisor for an example of our certificate of analysis, which shows the type of tests performed on the cells and on the donor, such as sterility, mycoplasma and endotoxin testing, identity markers, genetic stability, viability and donor infectious disease screening. The full legal identity of the laboratory and its internal documentation are confidential under our internal policies.

Laboratory tests and imaging

  • Laboratory tests: your arrival-day blood work includes a complete blood count, a comprehensive metabolic panel, a urinalysis and tumor markers. You can ask for a copy of your results.
  • Imaging: if you had an MRI in Tijuana on your arrival day, you can ask for a copy of the report and access to the images. Imaging centers often provide an online viewer or a digital copy.

These documents are useful for your doctor at home and for future comparisons, for example if you have a new MRI months later.

Discharge instructions

Before you leave our facilities, you receive written aftercare instructions, including:

  • Rest on the day of your treatment and the following day.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 2 weeks, and avoid cannabis and smoking.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory drugs and supplements such as omega 3, ginger and turmeric unless the doctor approves them.
  • Avoid ice or heat on the treated area for the first two days.
  • Gradual return to activity.
  • Warning signs that require contacting us or seeking medical care.

Keep these instructions with you during your trip and share them with your doctor at home.

Documents you receive at each stage

StageDocuments
Before bookingWritten treatment plan with the recommended cells, route, inclusions and total investment; example certificate of analysis on request
After bookingDeposit confirmation and your itinerary with pick-up details
Arrival dayConsent forms you sign after your consultation; laboratory results on request
DischargeWritten aftercare instructions
After your treatmentFinal medical report within 24 to 48 hours of your request; redacted quality information for your cells; copies of laboratory tests and imaging on request

Keeping these documents together gives you a complete record of your care, from the first consultation to your follow-up.

Example

A patient treated for knee osteoarthritis asks for his final medical report on the morning of his discharge. Two days later, he receives it by email, with the number of cells, the route, the guidance used, the PRP application and his aftercare recommendations. He forwards it to his orthopedic doctor at home, together with his arrival-day blood tests and the report of the MRI done in Tijuana. At his one-month follow-up call, he shares his weekly log, and the doctor uses all this information to guide his rehabilitation.

Sharing your documents with your doctor at home

We encourage you to share your report with your primary care physician or specialist. This allows them to:

  • Know exactly what treatment you received.
  • Take it into account if they prescribe new medications, such as anti-inflammatory drugs or steroid injections.
  • Follow your progress together with our team.
  • Coordinate future imaging or tests.

Using your documents for reimbursement

Some patients submit their documents to their insurance company, health savings account or flexible spending account administrator. Stem cell therapy is usually not covered by insurance, and each plan decides what it accepts. If you need specific documents, such as an itemized invoice or a medical report, tell your advisor when you request them, so the team can prepare them.

Your privacy

Your medical information is handled confidentially. In Mexico, clinical records are regulated by the official standard NOM-004-SSA3-2012 on the clinical record, and personal data, including health data, are protected by the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties. Your records, images and personal information are shared only with you and with the people or institutions you authorize.

Your follow-up

Your documents also support your follow-up. Our plans include a 12-month follow-up program, with a first call usually around one month after your application. Having your report and a weekly log of your pain, mobility and activities helps you and the doctor see your progress and decide on next steps, such as physical therapy, PRP or, when appropriate, a second application.

Tips to keep your records organized

  • Create a folder, physical or digital, with your treatment plan, medical report, laboratory results, imaging and discharge instructions.
  • Keep a weekly log of your symptoms and activities.
  • Save emails with your advisor, which include your itinerary and plan details.
  • Bring your records if you return for a second treatment.
