Stem Cell Therapy Mexico

How can I request a consultation or schedule an appointment?

You can request a consultation at Stem Cell Mexico in three simple ways: complete our online medical questionnaire, email us at info@stemcellmexico.org, or call or text our patient coordinators.

Free Consultation

Once we receive your information, a dedicated patient advisor contacts you, our medical team reviews your case, and you are offered a complimentary phone or video consultation with the doctor to discuss your condition, goals and options. If treatment is appropriate, you receive a written treatment plan by email with the number of cells, the route of application, the nights at our facilities, what is included and the total price. To schedule your treatment date, you confirm the plan with a deposit, which allows the laboratory to prepare your allogeneic mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from Wharton's jelly of the umbilical cord for that date. The deposit is subtracted from your total, and the balance is paid on arrival after your in-person evaluation confirms you are a candidate.

This guide explains each step, what information to prepare and how to make the process faster.

Step 1: Contact us

Choose the option that is easiest for you:

  • Online medical questionnaire: the fastest way to start, because it gives the medical team the information needed to review your case.
  • Email: write to info@stemcellmexico.org with a brief description of your condition and goals.
  • Phone or text: our patient coordinators answer calls and messages during business hours, Pacific Time.

Within a short time, a dedicated patient advisor contacts you. This person accompanies you from the first message to your last follow-up call, coordinates your consultation, answers practical questions about travel and costs, and stays in contact after your treatment to follow your progress together with the doctor.

Step 2: Complete the medical questionnaire

The questionnaire covers:

  • Your main condition, symptoms and how long you have had them.
  • Your goals for treatment.
  • Medical history, surgeries and current medications.
  • Allergies and any history of cancer.
  • Previous treatments and how you responded.

Step 3: Send your records

Depending on your condition, the team may ask for:

  • Imaging: an MRI no older than three months for joint or spine problems, plus any X-rays you have.
  • Blood work: recent results, especially for kidney, heart, metabolic or systemic goals.
  • Specialist reports: neurology, cardiology, nephrology, ophthalmology or rehabilitation notes.
  • Photographs or videos: for hair, skin, mobility or neurological goals.

You can send everything by email or through the secure options your advisor provides.

Step 4: Complimentary consultation with the doctor

The doctor reviews your information and talks with you by phone or video. During the consultation, the doctor:

  • Explains what regenerative treatment can offer for your condition.
  • Discusses realistic goals and how results will be measured.
  • Answers your questions about the procedure, recovery and travel.
  • Recommends additional tests if needed.
  • Tells you honestly if treatment is unlikely to help.

The consultation has no cost and no obligation. Many patients find it useful to include a family member.

What to have ready for the consultation

  • A list of your main symptoms and how they affect daily life.
  • Your current medications and doses.
  • Dates of previous injections, surgeries or treatments.
  • Your questions written down, so nothing is forgotten.
  • Your calendar, in case you want to discuss possible dates.

Step 5: Receive your written treatment plan

If treatment is appropriate, you receive a written plan by email listing:

  • The number of Wharton's jelly MSCs and the route of application.
  • Complementary therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), when included.
  • The nights at our facilities with nursing and medical monitoring.
  • The consultation with your doctor and the stem cell specialist.
  • Ground transportation from the San Diego airport area.
  • The total price.

Treatment plans range from about $1,800 to $9,500 USD depending on the condition. Only the items listed in your plan are included.

Step 6: Schedule your date

To reserve your date, you confirm the plan with a deposit (larger plans may require a higher amount). The deposit allows the laboratory to prepare the cells for your scheduled date and is subtracted from your total. Quotes are typically valid for a defined period, which your advisor confirms, because age, weight and health conditions can change.

Your advisor then sends your travel information: pickup time and place, the clinic address, hotel recommendations when applicable, preparation instructions and what to bring.

Step 7: Prepare for your visit

Typical preparation includes pausing anti-inflammatory painkillers, alcohol, tobacco and certain supplements before treatment, continuing essential medications, reviewing blood thinners with the doctor and arranging travel documents. Your advisor reviews everything with you.

How to make the process faster

  • Complete the questionnaire fully and attach recent imaging or labs.
  • Describe your goals clearly, such as walking without knee pain or more energy.
  • Be available for the consultation at a time that works for you.
  • Ask all your questions before confirming the plan.

Questions patients often ask before booking

How long does it take to receive a plan? Once the questionnaire and records are received, the medical team usually reviews the case within a few business days, and the consultation is scheduled at a time that works for you.

Can I talk to the doctor before paying anything? Yes. The consultation with the doctor is complimentary and takes place before any deposit.

Can I receive a preliminary plan before the consultation? In some cases, the team sends a preliminary plan based on your questionnaire, and the consultation then confirms whether it is the best option for you.

Do I need a referral from my doctor? No. However, recent reports from your doctors help the team plan accurately.

Can I change my treatment date after paying the deposit? Contact your advisor as early as possible. Rescheduling and cancellation conditions are explained in your written plan, since the cells are prepared specifically for your date.

How do I pay? Payment options and any card processing fees are explained by your advisor before you confirm.

Combining treatments in one visit

If you have more than one goal, for example knee pain and low energy, the doctor can plan a combined treatment in the same visit. Combined plans are quoted together in one written plan, which saves travel and is often more favorable than separate visits.

If you are not a candidate

Sometimes the evaluation shows that regenerative treatment is unlikely to help, or that another step should come first, such as treating an infection, controlling blood pressure or completing a test. In those cases, the doctor explains why and, when possible, suggests what to do next. You are welcome to contact us again when your situation changes.

Privacy

Your information is handled confidentially by the medical and coordination team and is used only to evaluate and plan your care, never shared without your consent.

Who can request a consultation

Anyone interested in regenerative treatment for themselves or a family member can request a consultation. For family members, please include the patient's information and, when possible, have the patient or legal guardian join the consultation.

What the evidence supports

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) encourages patients to ask about the evidence for their condition, how the cells are prepared and how safety is monitored before choosing a treatment, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) provides consumer information on regenerative therapies. Our consultation is designed to answer these questions for your case. In Mexico, cell therapies are regulated by COFEPRIS, as described in an overview by the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy (ISCT).

Questions to ask during your consultation

  • Is regenerative treatment a good option for my condition?
  • What results are realistic, and how will we measure them?
  • How many days will I need to stay?
  • What is included in the price, and what is not?
  • When is the earliest date I could be treated?

Bottom line

Requesting a consultation at Stem Cell Mexico is simple: complete the online questionnaire, email info@stemcellmexico.org or call or text our coordinators, and you will be offered a complimentary consultation with the doctor and, if appropriate, a written plan with the price. A deposit reserves your date. A medical evaluation can help determine whether this type of regenerative treatment is appropriate for your condition, goals and medical history.
